Course Work : Foreign nationals registered for a degree in a recognized Institute/University who are officially sponsored by that Institute/University to carry out Course work at IITH for a period not exceeding two semesters (1 year) can be accepted as exchange students under the MoU or non-MOU category.. The admission of foreign nationals under the MoU will be made in accordance with the terms and conditions spelt out in the MoU agreed to between IITH and the partner University/Institution concerned. Students are required to bear costs related to living expenses, boarding, lodging and travel. Accommodation is provided in hostels on payment basis at nominal fees. Students arriving under the MoU will not be charged tuition fees. For the admission of foreign nationals under the non-MOU category, students are requested to pay the corresponding tuition fee per semester as per the rules and regulations of IIT Hyderabad.

Hello, This is Raquel Fernández Peralta from Spain. I stayed in IIT Hyderabad as a visitor for a 3-month research for my PhD research work. My experience was very positive, the time I spent there helped to make progress in my thesis and to see things from a different perspective. IIT Hyderabad is offering joint doctoral degree programs (JDPs) with reputed foreign universities. The JDP program offers PhD candidates the opportunity to pursue their PhD studies at two institutions which have a JDP-MOU. On successful completion of the JDP, the candidate gets a joint PhD degree from both the institutions.
Eligibility
PhD candidates enrolled at a foreign university which has a JDP agreement with IIT
Hyderabad.
Funding Details
Scholars will pay tuition fees to their Home Institute throughout the duration of the JDP,
including the duration of study at the Partner Institute following the Home Institute’s fee
structure.
